How many of you like watching the sun rise onto a new day? For those who are night owls like me, we may not witness many sunrises, but when we do, they captivate us with their beauty.
The sunrise declares that the night, withall its darkness faded into obscurity and new opportunities burst onto the horizon for us again.
Each morning affords a brand, new start for us in some way. Yesterday’s worries are over. Yesterday’s sorrows are past. Yesterday’s accomplishments fade away. All that remains are faint memories. Today opens a new window of life, inciting fresh hope from the blackness of the past hours.
What if we awakened every day with a recognition of the new opportunities now before us? What if we focused on how we have come through the darkness of yesterday’s night? What if we declared over each new sunrise, “Today, it’s my turn?”
My turn for what, you might ask?
